WFB Policies & Insurance
We want our lactation consultancy services to meet the needs of mothers without too much hassle. We have just a few policies and a little information for you to read regarding insurance.
Policies
The Lactation Network
-
Well Fed Baby partners with The Lactation Network for direct billing of services for most insurances. Patients must verify their insurance through The Lactation Network. If your insurance is approved, you will receive an email verification. Pre-approved visits covered by insurance through The Lactation Network are at no cost to the patient. If your insurance company is not approved by The Lactation Network, we can bill you as a cash-pay patient. You will be responsible for paying for services out of pocket.
-
Insurance verification should be completed prior to your visit. The Lactation Network takes less than 24 hours to verify your benefits and respond.
-
After insurance verification, you are required to assign benefits to The Lactation Network so that the billing process remains seamless. If you do not complete the insurance verification process and do not submit an Assignment of Benefits prior to your visit, you will be responsible for paying out of pocket for your visit.
-
We pride ourselves on spending our expertise and resources assisting and being a support our moms. Well Fed Baby cannot and does not verify insurance. We are subcontracted by The Lactation Network for your lactation services only. For questions regarding insurance billing or verification, please email info@thelactationnetwork.com.
Aetna Insurance
-
Well Fed Baby is now in-network with Aetna Insurance.
-
Patients must verify their insurance. Insurance verification should be completed prior to your visit.
Cash-pay Patients
If your insurance plan is outside of billing through The Lactation Network, you can receive our services as a cash-pay patient. While your insurance may be out-of-network, we can still provide our same great services to you through our self-pay billing process. In some circumstances, you can request reimbursement from your insurance provider by submitting a claim. If you wish to utilize this process, don't hesitate to ask for billing codes to fill your reimbursement claim.
